Yes on 4 Youth Organizers Kick Off College Welcome Weeks Across Florida
FLORIDA– The Yes on 4 campaign launched its College Welcome Weeks strategy, an ambitious statewide effort to engage young voters on college campuses. Starting this week and continuing through September 6th, our youth organizers are hitting the ground running, connecting with students at 24 campuses across Florida, including major universities like FAU, UM, UNF, UF, USF St. Pete, USF Tampa, FIU, UCF, FGCU, FSU, Daytona State, and many more.
These College Welcome Weeks are a crucial part of our campaign’s outreach strategy, ensuring that students are informed, engaged, and ready to vote this November.
“Young people are key to our path to victory this November,” said Taylor Aguilera, Organizing Director for Yes on 4. “Their energy, passion, and commitment to limiting government interference are driving this movement forward.”
Natasha Sutherland, Communications Director for Yes on 4, emphasized the importance of the campaign’s grassroots efforts: “Our mobilization efforts are ramping up like never before reaching voters of all backgrounds, party affiliations, and ages. The level of enthusiasm we are seeing shows that voters understand the stakes—extreme politicians have put themselves in between Floridians and their doctors but young people will have the final say this November.”
Since April 1st, Yes on 4 started organizing in communities all over the state, resulting in 118,166 contact attempts and it is just the beginning. As we continue our efforts, we invite all students to stop by our tables, get involved, and learn more about how they can make a difference in this critical election.
